Shipping & Returns

         

SHIPPING A FIREARM - FFLs AND TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP

At your request PatriotOutdoors.com will transfer your purchased firearm to a licensed gun dealer in your state.

It is your responsibility to ensure that a firearm is legal to own in your state.

It is your responsibility to complete all required paperwork when you pick up your purchase from your local dealer.

It is your responsibility to contact the FFL dealer.

Be aware that it is customary for your local dealer to charge a transaction fee at the time you pick up your purchase.

This transfer fee is strictly between you and your local dealer. It is your responsibility to check with your local dealer concerning any policy of this kind and concerning your obligations. You do not pay PatriotOutdoors.com the transfer fee. By purchasing a firearm from us you acknowledge that you may have to pay your dealer a fee for transferring the gun to you.

You the buyer are responsible for forwarding a copy of the FFL and all pertinent contact information to PatriotOutdoors.com. Our contact information is as follows:

SHIPPING

 

Expedited Shipping:  We use Fedex 2-Day Air or Fedex Standard Overnight for shipping. Typical order processing time is 3 days. Expedited shipments are still subject to processing times.

 

Standard Shipping: We use a combination of shipping carriers depending on the type of item purchased as well as the State the item is being shipped.  Most handguns are shipped priority, with all other items typically shipped Ground.

Some items, such as handguns and ammunition, may not be legal to ship to your State.  Please check local and state laws prior to purchasing. It is YOUR responsibility to check your local laws prior to placing an order.  All firearms will be shipped to an FFL holder in your State for transfer. They will typically charge a nominal fee for the transfer that you will be responsible for paying. All shipping charges are applicable to the lower 48 States. If you are outside if this area please email us for a quote prior to purchase. All Powder and Primer orders will incur an additional $40 hazardous shipping fee. This fee will be billed separately from your initial order. Power and Primers CAN NOT be shipped in the same order. A hazardous shipping fee will applied to each order.  Oversized accessories, this does not apply to firearms, may incur and extra shipping charge. If you have a question on shipping charges please ask and we will be happy to let you know prior to making the purchase.

**Safe Orders may take up to 2 weeks to be delivered.

HAWAII, ALASKA AND PUERTO RICO ORDERS

Shipping charges to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico may be higher than our standard charges.

 

RETURNS

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) request within 14 business days of the receipt of the product. If the item is returned unopened in the original box, we will exchange it, offer you store credit, or offer you a refund, less 10% restocking fee, based on your original method of payment. The product must be returned within 10 business days of the issuance of the RMA. All products must be packed in the original packaging, including any accessories, manuals, documentation and registration that shipped with the product. A 15% open box fee in addition to the 10% restocking fee (totaling 25%) will be assessed on any sealed product that is opened or removed from its original packaging.

 

Please note that we do not permit the return of the following products:

1. Special orders and products that are custom configured to your specifications.
2. Products sold "as is" or "used" or that have been installed or used after receipt.
3. NFA items that require ATF Transfer after the start of paperwork.
4. Illumination devices, electronic sights, optics and night vision equipment.

 

NOTE: We recommend that you use a carrier that offers shipment tracking for all returns, and either insure your package for safe return or declare the full value of the shipment so that you are protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. If you chose not to use a carrier that offers tracking and insure or declare the full value of the product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) offers limited tracking capabilities and that there is a 30-calendar-day waiting period before USPS will initiate a trace. The customer is responsible for shipping charges both ways on returns, as well as for shipping charges on shipments that are refused.

VERY IMPORTANT - FIREARM RETURNS Please take your time to inspect all firearms thoroughly BEFORE proceeding with the transfer. Once a new firearm is transferred to you it is considered used, even if unfired.  Consequently, we cannot provide a full refund for new firearms once they have been transferred into your possession.  Also, we DO NOT reimburse FFL transfer fees on returned items.  We do understand that some manufacturer defects may not be identifiable upon initial inspection.  However, upon discovering a defect AFTER the transfer, the firearm MUST be returned directly to the manufacturer for replacement or repair (in accordance with manufacturer’s warranty policy).  By sending a defective firearm directly to the manufacturer, you can avoid the unnecessary transfer fees of returning the firearm to us through your local FFL dealer.  If we do receive a defective firearm that has already been transferred, we will simply forward the firearm to the manufacturer on your behalf.  Manufacturer repaired firearms can be returned directly to the customer without additional FFL transfer or associated fees.  However, if the manufacturer chooses to replace the firearm, the replacement firearm must transfer through your local FFL dealer to document the replacement firearm serial number.

 

All Ammunition Sales are Final

You must be 18 or older to purchase rifle or shotgun ammunition and 21 or older to purchase handgun ammunition. All ammunition will be shipped ground with adult signature required. Always make sure to use the correct ammunition for your specific firearms. Check your local laws for any other regulations.  

 

PICKING UP ITEMS FROM OUR RETAIL STORE

If you intend to pick up an item from our retail store that you have ordered, please allow 4 working days before pickup. Be sure to call in advance to see if your order is ready.

We must charge New Mexico sales tax (6.125%) if you pick a gun up from the retail store. (You should see this amount calculated into your order before you complete your purchase).

If you are not a legal resident of New Mexico you cannot pick up a handgun from our store; you must have the gun transferred to a dealer in your state. You may pick up a rifle or shotgun from our store if it is legal to own in your state of residence.

 

ONLINE PRICE & DESCRIPTION ERRORS

Our online inventory changes every day. Occasionally an item may appear on the site by mistake or the item's description may contain a typographical error. We do not guarantee that titles, descriptions, pictures or prices on our site are error-free. We reserve the right to refuse any order including but not limited to orders for items with errors in the description or price. In the event that we cancel an order we will not charge the customer's credit card or we will refund the money.

If an item's description contains an error such as incorrect price and a customer makes the order, we will not process the order without first contacting the customer. If the order is mistakenly shipped, we may advise the customer to return the item in an unopened condition and we will refund the customer. By placing an order, the customer agrees that Patriot Outdoors will be the final arbiter of discrepancies in the online catalog.

 

ORDER FULFILLMENT

All orders are shipped promptly from our warehouse or in-store inventory within 3 - 10 business days using UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Tracking numbers are available for items shipped via UPS and FedEx.
