Precision Rifle Fundamentals

This class is designed for those new precision rifle owners or new shooters who have no prior formal firearms training. It is designed to take the student from being unfamiliar with the precision rifle system to being able to handle it safely and confidently. The class will be divided with equal time on the range and in the classroom.
Subjects covered in this class include:
- Gun safety
- Nomenclature
- Safe loading and unloading
- Fundamentals of marksmanship
- How to properly “sight in” a rifle
- Instruction in basic ballistics at distances up to 300 yards
- Securing the firearm in a home or vehicle
Required gear:
- Serviceable rifle (.223 or higher caliber) with magnified optic
- 40 rounds of ammunition
- Ear and eye protection
- Weather appropriate clothing
Optional gear:
- Water
- Additional ammunition and/or magazines
